I've always wanted to be a scratch dj (amongst other things... I want to be a lot of things actually). The one thing, or actually rather two things a scratch deejay would need are turntables. I've been wanting to buy them for a long time, but I didnt have the money to get them. I've slowly been saving up for them. I've finally decided to get the Numark TT200 turntables
They cost S$490 a piece, so that works up to almost $1k. Then I'll also have to get the Numark Virtual Vinyl, to connect the turntables to my laptop.
Finally, I also decided to spend some money and get the new Numark M3 Mixer, because I dont wanna use my numark totalcontrol to double as a mixer for my turntables, cuz the crossfader is not made for that. This is the Numark M3, and below that is what I currently use, the Numark Totalcontrol.
After doing some calculations, I have concluded the stuff I'm getting (turntables,virtual vinyl and M3), is gonna cost me about $2,300. I've got about $600 more to save before I can cradle them in my arms lovingly. I was a bit excited about it which is why I decided to blog (after so long).
